and now that I am a parent these things are hilarious.
Sofi and I find ourselves in tears with laughter at some of the things people post, and since the last facebook feed reminder of this little internet pot of parenting gold I have been taking mental note of the things squeaky cries about, and so far we have the following:
- he wants to put his shoes on
- he doesn't want to put his shoes on
- the dog ate the piece of toilet paper that was meant for mama's ouchie
- nanna and gumpa want to talk with him on skype
- nanna and gumpa went away on skype (even though he hung up on them because he would rather watch dora)
- mummy chose the wrong beanie (we were supposed to have matching ones which is really very cute)
- the dog licked his toes (this one is enough to make me cry too)
- mama ate the food on her plate
- the cheese is touching his bread
- there is no cheese on his bread
- he threw his spoon away
- I was too slow putting the DVD in the machine
- and one of my favourites because I was always taught there is no use crying over it - he spilled his milk
and the list goes on.
And through all the tears and tantrums it never ceases to amaze me how we can go from the world seemingly coming to an end to everything being awesome in the space of 1 second.
begin a parent is an amazing, enlightening somewhat trying at times, awesome experience :)
